TODAY, DREAM AGAIN JOIN OTHER NGOs, FBOs and CBOs IN FULL SUPPORT OF THE YELLOW RIBBON CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE STIGMATIZATION OF EX-INMATES AND EX-OFFENDERS!!!

The whole essence of rehabilitation and reformation within the walls of the correctional centres is to prepare the students (Inmates) towards effective social reintegration, by doing this we curbing recidivism and empowering the students towards becoming productive members of the society.

Therefore, we are calling on families of ex-offenders from non-custodial centres recently introduced into Nigeria correctional system and families of ex-cons from the custodial centres together with the general public to give them a chance and opportunity to start life afresh without stigmatizing them.

The following are the objectives of the yellow ribbon campaign

Create awareness on the need to give ex-inmates a chance to start afresh.

Encourage acceptance of offenders and their families into the community.

Inspire community action to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-offenders.

Build community where ex-offenders empowered to look beyond their past and towards the future.

Help inmates and ex-offenders rebuild their lives and lower the recidivism rate.

Together we can do this, some potentials within the walls of the correctional are actually the solutions some people are waiting to shine on their path towards making progressive positive advancement.
